From Beauty to Fear

Strange the human soul is;
strange the human essence.
Legs standing heavy on the mud,
and this need, this craving for flying...

Strange my soul is;
lusting for the absolute,
the eternal tune of Everything.
Lusting for the beauty of Never.

How naive, how simple – and how wise;
beauty is what I love.
My word of magic is "to see" -
and what, you, my beauty, might be?

A voice singing painfully of a loss,
a caring loving hand, of protection and passion,
a fascinating mind of intrigue and tremendous depths;
a face, a smooth face, like painted,
half in plain light – and half in my beloved shadows...

How wise, how complicated – and how naive;
beauty is what I fear.
My word of fear is "to see" -
and what you, my fear, might be?

My name is Atalante - though some call me Aleena/Alina - and I am relentlessly pursuing my dreams; I am a proud captive of Love. I enjoy life - I'm a sense/feeling junky, I tell you. I consider myself an artist due to lack of a better word. I write poetry and stories since I was fourteen, I enjoy photography, photomanipulation and digital painting very much; I am a music lover & a singer, [soprano, in my good days, mezzo-soprano in my bad days] a dreamer. I also practise martial arts [ninjutsu, specifically]. I'm a "yesterday was better than today" type of person, meaning that I love the past, and anything that has to do with it, mainly art and aesthetics. I am infatuated with many historical eras (baroque, rennaisance, medieval, victorian), I like old music, period clothing, calligraphy - you get the point. What else? I play RPGs, I watch a lot of movies and series, I read like a maniac, when I have the time. I don't think that I can actually describe myself through this. Hrmph...
